IPOD

Let us introduce you to the wonderful bay gelding Ipod, expertly piloted by Jennifer Wood.

Ipod, or simply Pod as he is known by those nearest and dearest to him, entered Jennifer’s life when owners Michael and Emma Lees became too busy with their family farm and generously offered Jennifer the ride.

Born in 2010, Pod is sired by Cassiago, the beautiful grey stallion who is renowned for passing on temperament, ability, pedigree and character - all attributes Pod has in spades. Whilst we cannot tell you much about Pod’s thoroughbred dam, we are sure she contributed to Pod’s outstanding athletic abilities!

In the relatively short time Pod and Jennifer have been partnered, they have formed a brilliant relationship - Pod has even earnt the prestige of being ‘one of the favourites’, if you can have favourites that is! Jennifer feels beyond blessed to have Pod on the truck and she thinks he is one of the coolest horses she has ever ridden.

In their time together, Jennifer and Pod have gone from strength to strength. They have had a sensational run over the past twelve months with highlights including an eighth at the CSI1*-W NVSJC World Cup, representing Team Australia Gold at Waratah as part of the Senior Teams Trans Tasman Challenge, and a second at the Peachester Lodge Caboolture World Cup Qualifier. Pod and Jennifer are in fine form and are ones to watch come Grand Prix day.

As most of the good ones do, Pod has his quirks. Pod likes to think he is a rodeo horse on paddock rides, demonstrating his lightning fast epic moves when his rider may not be paying attention.

Does he hate anything? Yes he absolutely hates it when the love of his life "Maxie" doesn’t come into the barn at the same time as him. 

Pod is also known to be a bit of an escape artist, he will escape out of the stable at any possible opportunity.
Pod is obsessed with human snacks. Chips, shapes or crackers go down a treat. Pod’s favourite snacks are the ones hand delivered by his most loved, smallest carrot-giver Audrey, Jennifer’s daughter.

Pod is one weird loveable guy, and we too cannot wait to watch him and his beloved Jennifer take on the GDP Grand Prix at the GDP Classic proudly brought to you by Divas Beverages!
