TULARA WAT COLBLENSKY

Let us introduce you to Tulara WAT Colblensky, or as she’s affectionately known at home, Juno. With her striking grey coat, towering 17.1hh frame, and gentle demeanor, Juno is the perfect blend of power and grace, a true "gentle giant."

Born in 2017, this Warmblood mare bred by Tulara Warmbloods is already turning heads in the showjumping world. Her pedigree speaks for itself, with Colman as her sire and Tulara Cornetto as her dam, both contributing to her exceptional athleticism and calm temperament.

Juno's story began in 2018 when she was purchased sight unseen by Ingrid Miles. Sent straight to the breaker, she surprised everyone with her incredibly quiet demeanor for a 3.5-year-old mare with minimal handling. However, Juno’s knack for jumping took a little bit of practice and patience in the beginning. Slow to pick up the concept, Juno was lunged over jumps for weeks before it finally clicked. But once it did, she never looked back, quickly progressing to the futurity level by her 10th show.

Over the years, Juno was trained by several riders, including Josh and Emma, as well as Vicki Roycroft, before eventually finding her way to Jamie W. Kermond. Initially purchased for Rachel Peel as an amateur horse, it soon became clear that Juno had the potential to reach the top, and so the Peel Family made the generous decision to give Jamie the ride, allowing this talented mare to compete at the highest levels of the sport.

Juno’s career highlights include an unforgettable 2nd-place finish at her very first World Cup in 2024. It was a performance that cemented her place as a rising star in the Grand Prix ring. Yet what sets her apart is her unique versatility—one day, she’s competing at the World Cup level, and the next, she’s jumping in the amateurs with Rachel, showcasing her sweet and willing nature.

A relaxed, kind, and sweet mare, Juno is a favorite wherever she goes. Her calm, easy-going temperament makes her a dream to take to shows, and her consistent performances reflect her genuine partnership with Jamie and Rachel. Despite her massive frame, she’s gentle as can be, earning her the love of everyone who meets her.

With the support of Yandoo Park’s sponsors, including Antares Australia, Completely Equine, and Kingsland, Juno is set up for success. Looking ahead, the plan is to continue producing her at Grand Prix and World Cup levels, taking it one step at a time to ensure she reaches her full potential. As a young mare with so much talent and heart, the future is bright for Juno and Jamie, and we can't wait to see how far this remarkable pair will go.

For now, Juno continues to impress with her steady rise through the ranks, her relaxed attitude, and her undeniable star power. Whether she's jumping the biggest courses or grazing peacefully in the paddock, Juno is a testament to the magic that happens when talent meets patience and care.
