Caprino

Tonight we tell the story of a chestnut pony that has a pretty impressive travel diary. He has been across the Nullarbor on a few occasions, he has travelled to Queensland and back and he holds an international travel passport as he recently spent time over in Europe

Tonight we tell the story of CAPRINO Who is partnered with Billy Raymont

At home is known as Capri and he he was purchased from Cailtin Bolger in March 2022 by the lovely Jennifer Kinsella who then entrusted Billy Raymont to ride him.

Caitlin Bolger bred, broke and produced Caprino to be the Spicey Orange pony he is today and his adopted Dad wouldn’t want him any other way. Capri is by Yalambi’s Carpino Z out of Oaks Dreamtime. He has Capitol I in his bloodline interestingly on both sides, and he is very much bred in the purple. The Capitol horses have scope – scope and easy to handle. In his last years Capitol was only allowed to breed to mares with Thoroughbred blood. The mare sire had to be Thoroughbred, or otherwise Cor de la Bryère – so Capitol got very good mares. It was top management by the Holsteiner Verband, with very good results in the sport. Mum was sired by the famous Stallion, Clearway. Clearways' State Premium Dam, Wodka, belongs to one of the most important mare families from Holsteiner breeding. She produced a daughter Carassina who jumped internationally with Lars Bak Andersen. Clearway has been actively breeding since 2001 and his foals are noted for thier nobility and quality of movement.. Clearway had a son with an extraordinary jumping capacity who was approved under the name Clarimo. Clarimo Ask was a Grandprix Champion ridden by Rolf Goran Bengtsson.

Breeding done, more about Capri

He loves his mates and he has this funny call out kind of roar when they leave him and then again when he sees them come back. Every so often for no reason he goes on a bit of hunger strike, which is strange for a horse who also really loves his carrots.

He is a dude you can see by the way he hangs out in stable. Fresh Sawdust yes please! Hello look at me i'm special.

Proud too was all his connections with how he handled all the overseas travel so well He also had a great time and some great results. Even stepping up to win a class at a 3* show in Sentower Park in Belgium. Capri and his adopted dad are a relatively new combination so they are still getting to know eachother but every time he goes in the ring he really tries so hard.

He was a superstar in his original home being crowned 2020 WA Horse of the Year and many other wins to his name and is emulating that success with his new adopted dad.

Capri, we know you are a Superstar you have proven yourself for your 1st Mum and you are doing so again for you new mum Jennifer and your adopted dad. We are glad you came back and we are looking forward to seeing so many more great results for you. Tips are you will be in the money this weekend! Keep shining.
