Oaks Cassanova
Oaks Cassanova is making the long trip all the way from Queensland and we cannot wait to see him shine.
Ed as he is known at home was bred by Oaks Sport Horses and sold as a weanling. #hindsight. The Overton family purchased him from the Miocevich Family in WA as a 5yo. Another bred in the purple he is by Ego Casablanca out of Oaks Alto, so for those who love breeding info he carries bloodlines from Camelot Ego Z, Aachen, Argentinus, Quidam De Revel and Darco to name a few.
Ed was not an easy young horse, incredibly strong minded to say the least. Sam actually gave him to Tom McDermott as a 6yo to see if he would be interested in doing something with him… and he sent him back! He was THAT naughty!
Now 14yo, he has finally grown up although still likes to clown about when he gets the chance. Especially during trot-ups!
Did you know? Ed won his first blue ribbon in the 1.20m at Tamworth World Cup in 2015, and then had his first World Cup win there in 2022, Tamworth is a special place for Ed.
Ed only started in his first World Cup in 2021, last year 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 won the Australia leg of 2022 World Cup Qualifiers! This earns an invitation to compete in the World Cup Finals in Omaha, Nebraska in April...... the only thing to ask is will he have more to his story? Is he going?..... I guess we will have to wait and see! But if he does you can guarantee he will have the jumping community support behind him... stay tuned!
Ed we have all fallen in love with you and we are loving your journey!
Some of Ed's results!
