Tulara Stolensky

We are excited about this one because we feel we are going to see her lots more in the coming years.

We are talking about the beautiful TULARA STOLENSKY who is now partnered with the equally beautiful Jamie (Jim) Winning-Kermond.

Bred by Mark Fraser (who himself is huge supporter of Jumping) at Tulara Warmbloods right here in Victoria in 2011. Stella as she is known at home has never jumped a track as big as the GDP Classic Martin Collins Australia Grand Prix, but her pedigree tells us she will give it a go.

Stella is sired by Stolzenberg (Stakkato x Sandro) and out of a Cornet Obolensky mare. For those who like to know more Stolzenberg was named Hannovarian Stallion of the year in 2019 and fun fact... His Sire Stakkato was named Stallion of the Year in 2011. So what does out a Cornet Obolensky mare mean? It means that her linage also carries pretty special sires like Clinton, Heratbreaker and Nimmerdor (Nimmerdor represents one of the most influential ‘founding’ sires of the Dutch Warmblood, the imported Holsteiner, Farn..) Yes Stella is bred in the purple

A couple of fun facts. Stella had a foal in 2016 before she started her competition career. A beautiful Emerald colt known as Vakarra Euclase (currently ridden by Sally Simmonds).

Stella was quite a tricky young horse, she had all the scope in the world but not so much rideability 🙈 Thankfully as she got older she became a little more rideable but she has her own way of going.

Her first big win was in 2018 when she won the Newcomer Championship at Gatton World Cup show. Her biggest show to date is being invited to jump at the Magic Millions Showjumping on the Gold Coast earlier this month. So she is also very well travelled.

Stella is incredibly careful, brave, scopey and quick against the clock. Everything you could want in the showjumping ring. She has a big jump, sometimes it can jump you out of the saddle, but she rarely comes home without a ribbon.

She is another cool cat, but is a social butterfly and she just loves being around people. Stella changed homes mid last year and is as loved in her new home as she was at her last. . In fact Jamie's groom Lachlan says Stella is his favorite horse.

Stella you are proving what a big heart you have, and stepping up to the big classes for the very first time is pretty special. We have all our fingers (and toes) crossed for you, no matter what though we will all be proud and excited to see you canter out into the big ring! Its like when your baby does something for the very first time! #memories
