EAGLE ROCK

This horse is part of the GDP family. Truly, he is one of the GDP founders horses and he melts our hearts when we see him. He has had wins up and down the country and we are proud of him here at GDP. The good news for you, he is also a stallion so if he becomes one of your favorites you can breed with him too!

This is the story of 𝐄𝐀𝐆𝐋𝐄 𝐑𝐎𝐂𝐊 who is partnered by Ally Lamb.

𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 as he is known at home was born in 2009 and was bred by Jan Breukink in the Netherlands and imported into Australia in 2015 as a young horse.  Ally tells us Jan loved 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 so much he still stays in touch to hear how 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 is doing. Jan worked for over 40 years with the Nijhof stud in the Netherlands originally starting as a vet and moving into reproduction before moving out to his own breeding operation. Fun Fact: Jan also bred, Mac Kinley (Goodwill - Irisinaa x Nimmerdor), who competed with Rolf-Göran Bengtsson.

Now you know the breeder, lets talk about the lineage, 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 is by Berlin out of Arisinaa. On Dads side there is Cassini, Capitol, Caretino and Mum has Le Tot De Semilly, Nimmerdor, Furioso II.

Another fun fact: Eagle has a half brother (same Dam) Floris TN who is competing with Olympic rider Jerome Guery, Foris success has been credited back through his mum Arisinaa. Something exciting one of Arisinaa latest foals Bib Sinaa Me will be produced (She is only just over 1 now) with the Brisbane Olympics in mind, 2032
So yes people another bred in the purple!

𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 has been with Ally since he was a 6 year old. Ally was wanting to buy a mare to have some different bloodlines but fell in love with 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 pretty quickly. 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 was at the wonderful Team Nijhof stud in the Netherlands on behalf of Jan.
So want to know more?

𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 has an addiction to fruit, he loves all fruit, especially bananas, carrots, nectarines, watermelon.  He calls out to his people when he sees them . He is really friendly with the other horses and likes having his mates around him .
𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 is another that is just so loved, Ally tells us “Every time I get to do anything with this horse is memorable to me what a wonderful privilege to have a bond and mutual love and respect for one another. I know I’m 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞's human and I’m lucky enough to call him my horse .”

People talk about dogs imprinting on a certain person and they becoming their person…Well horses do it too….. 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 neighs every time he sees his mum and runs as fast as he can to the gate, doesn't do that for anyone else! He really does love Ally.

One of his favorite things to do is, rolling in the dirt & getting dirty, he loves his paddock and loves staying out all day, however good luck to you if you are washing him in cold water after this as cold water is one of his pet hates!

Ally is so proud of the journey 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 and her are on, she is proud of everything he has done and still does for her. When we asked her to name some memories, she had so many it was actually hard. 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 is her heart horse. Every memory is special. Some standouts though are Winning the Vic Senior State Titles, Winning the Senior Country Championships, Winning at Melbourne and Sydney royals and being named Victorian Horse of the Year on a number of occasions.

One other moment that was special in Ally and 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞's story was the day Ally met 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞's breeder, Jan . Jan showed Ally some of 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞's siblings and his wonderful Dam Arisinaa. Ally got to see where 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 was born & grew up and that was a privilege for Ally to be able to see that.

Ally and 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 have some great sponsors behind them who keep them looking and feeling great. They would like to thank

𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 is a superstar! He has started in more than 20 World Cups and is one you see at every Grand Prix up and down the country, if he isn't winning the class you can bet he is in the line up somewhere.

𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞 we love that for a stallion your are just so cool, we love the bond you have with your human Mum and we love that you always try so hard for her. We are looking forward to seeing you shine.

See you at the Classic!
