Josie is partnered by Stuart Jenkins and he takes up the story below.

It has been a unique experience producing her as we produced both her parents from babies to winning world cup classes. We certainly hope she follows in their footsteps. So for us (wife Becky and myself) she is a bit of a tug at your heart kind of very special horse .

​

So who are her parents? And why is she so special? Her sire is Fairview Aliquidam and for those of you who remember in 2018 he was sold to Denis Lynch prior to that he started in approx. 16 World Cups here, winning the Shepparton WC and placing in the top 10 in almost every one he started in.  Her Dam, Mum, well…..all we can say mum was a Superstar!

 

The once in a lifetime pony. Well known up and down the Country, the amazing RSB Jacana. Who herself started in over 40 World Cups. Mums lineage can be traced back to Mettall and the amazing Dressage horse Ferro whilst Dads goes back through Quidam De Revel and Alme who himself jumped to Grand Prix, then sired 3 Olympic Horses and 2 World Champions. Yes we keep saying it. “Purple here too”

Talent exudes from Josie and she knows her job and she loves it! Recently for such a young one she has really started to shine and make some #memories . her biggest achievement to date is Being the 2023 Australian Senior Jumping Champion. By far the proudest moment for Josies family.

​

In fact 2023 was a pretty special year for this pretty special pony. Not only did she win the Australian Jumping Championships she was also crowned leading Young Horse at both Sydney and Brisbane Royal Shows, She was leading Part 1 horse at Brisbane Royal and she was runner up in the Tamworth World Cup.

​

Josie may be Stuarts main ride however in the past few months she is also loving jumping for her mum Becky, recently the start of 2024 saw Becky take the ride as well in the Pacifica Fair Magic Millions Showjumping event.

​

Some fun facts:  She loves it when Lacey and Corey (Stuart and Becky’s children) are in the stables as they shower her with attention. She is an extremely cuddly mare on the ground a trait that she certainly didn't inherit from either of her parents! She will in fact scratch you back when you scratch her!

​

Another one… Josie has inherited the weirdest way to drink, she laps her water like a dog! Incredibly amazing to watch, but even more incredible is her mum RSB Jacana did exactly the same thing. Oh also her favorite thing? Lollies and licorice!

​

So there must also be something she doesnt like you ask? yes there is... Strange neighbours.

​

For both Stuart and Becky having each compete her parents at the highest levels its exciting and extremely special to now produce their daughter, who interestingly is also the only progeny of both parents.

​

Josie, keep being you, we predicted you would be a superstar and you are turning out to live up to that prediction.
