JAYBEE VIBRANT

this story is about a pony who lives up his to name. He shines whenever he goes out and he always gives 110%. He has tried a few disciplines (such as eventing to 3*) however has proven to his dad it really is better on the other side as a Jumper. So they defected, and we are sure glad they did.

Meet 𝐉𝐀𝐘𝐁𝐄𝐄 𝐕𝐈𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐓 our next Martin Collins Australia Grand Prix horse. 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲, as he is known at home is partnered by Robert Palm.

𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 started out as an eventer jumping 95cm classes with a previous rider, Robert takes up the story “I bought him as a 5yo very very cheap after he bucked his rider off and jumped out of the indoor. I rode him to 3* Eventing until I got sick of trying to do dressage on him”

Its makes us laugh as some ponies just know that jumping is for them and 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 is certainly one of those ponies. Just check out the knee action in his eventing photo it talks its own story! 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 is so glad his partner saw the light and made the transition and so are we!

𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 is 13 years old and stands at 16.1h and as the name suggests, was bred at Jaybee Farm by Bev and John Edwards. So here comes his breeding.

He is by Vivant out of Gloria. Which makes him a half brother to Jaybee Alabaster who represented Australia at WEG for dressage. With Rachael Sanna. Funny and he didn’t like dressage. Dad is the famous everybody heart horse Vivant so we know there is Van De Heffinck, Landgraf and Ladykiller in the lines. But mum she has some great lineage as well. Gloria is by Glorieux who has Graphit and Gotthard lines.

Gotthard "Truly one of the greats. For 7yrs he was the leading sire of showjumpers in Germany”

Robert has produced 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 all the way up the levels and he is really proud of the bond and trust they have both built together. In fact Reilly is Robert's first World Cup Horse.

𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 has some favorite things, come at him with these and he may consider giving you some attention. On the treat order its carrots and licorice. His other favorite thing is his stable, Don’t leave him outside at night or in the rain, its all about being in that stable. He knows he is a king and deserves it, it is also his safe space and he couldn’t be happier when in it.

𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 also has a couple of quirks (the good ones do, it shows their spunk), he knows when its his turn to shine and he (much like the tennis players do) has a very set routine that he has created himself.

He likes to get in the zone and just be by himself for a little while. Give him some space and he will come out ready to go.

𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 also just doesn’t like strangers, You have to be pretty special for him to like you. He even lays his ears back at Robert and Cassie’s children if they look at him the wrong way!!. What else… oh yes he hates vets, he hates injections, he hates being annoyed and he absolutely hates a cold wash! (Maybe because he is a Queenslander at heart, Our Vic water might be just too cold)

𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 has been in the big classes now for a couple of years and he is always very consistent and usually always in the placings. However, the most memorable experiences Robert has had with 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 is twice now being on the winning team at the Magic Millions. 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 was a superstar both times (Is this telling us he really does love the QLD heritage and the weather?)

Robert is also really proud about coming 2nd last year in the Sale World Cup and 5th at the Summer Classic World Cup especially as reilly is still relatively new to World Cup level.

Robert tells us he would like to thank his beautiful wife Cassie for all she gives him as without her support, none of 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲’s journey would be possible, Robert would also like to thank his sponsors for keeping himself and 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲in tip top shape.

Barastoc Horse, Emcee Apparel, Antares Australia, Horseland Narre Warren

We are sooo excited to see you and your Dad jumping in the Martin Collins Australia Grand Prix, we are sure that Harry, Poppy and Flossy (Roberts children, the ones 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 isn’t too fond of) will be cheering you on (they love you 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲, even if you don’t like children), it won’t just be them however, we will all join in loudly too.

Good luck… Keep shining, you are made for this discipline!

See you at the Classic!
